A red letter day

This was one of the first memorials to the war as a whole.

Sunday, September 15th (The Octave of the Feast of the Nativity of the B. V. M. [Blessed Virgin Mary]) will be a Red Letter day in the history of S. Mary’s, for on it the War Memorial Chapel was dedicated by our Arch-deacon just before the Sung Eucharist.
