Cheerful in spite of all the fighting and hardships

A Bracknell teacher was doing well overseas.

The Vicar has received a letter from Mr. Penwill, our Assistant School-master, who is serving with the forces in Mesopotamia. He is now a Sergeant and writes very cheerfully in spite of all the fighting and hardships that he has gone through.
