No need for another war savings committee

Berkshire’s Methodists appear to have paid relatively little attention to the war, and the trustees of London Street Primitive Methodist Church (now the Great Expectations pub) were not enthusiastic about war loans.

It was resolved…

That finding our people are already subscribing to the War Loan through their secular employment and various other channels, we cannot see the necessity for forming a War Savings Committee within the church.
